I am Russian based baseball amateur player and I really appreciate for the video, coach
this is terrible information. This will injure many people trying to follow this half-assed depiction of pitching. Your hips should rotate roughly 50 to70% a split second before your front foot strikes the ground. As you create this hip rotation your arm should be getting ready to get to cocked position, but you should actually be starting to slightly counter-rotate the shoulders in the opposite direction of hip rotation. This is what 'separation' is. This dude is correct about head position, but that's about it.
this video doesn't teach anything other than what somebody sounds like when they want you to believe their BS. I imagine most people would be very confused about what the hell this dude is actually saying. Also there are so many pros that actually use their head position to initiate the drift from leg lift, which essentially moves the torso and hips together down the mound, but eventually the hips and lower half take over and rotate open before front footstrike.
This is a great training tool
I understand it’s nice to throw it faster but it is simple better to have a fastball with more movement
What the poundage on a single band?
85 hook in.
Ok. But how do you teach yourself to use your trunk and not open early. What drills
are you guys still running clinics/camps?
This is excellent
I have 60 bat speed but 90.5 exit velo
Guys why are you hating so hard hes training for a reason also look at his size hes obviously not going to be throwing the average speed of an 11 yo
What comes first the push or the clearing of the front hip? Maybe the push should come after the firing of the hands too soon a push could maybe lead to a loss of posture
In my opinion and knowledge, everything fires all at once.
Coach- thank you for this video! This helped a ton!!!
You dont create launch angle with your hands and shoulders. Launch angle happens aftet the ball is hit. This guy is teaching all wrong. That top hand should not roll over either.
no finish/follow through with body (meaning lower half recoils back while torso keeps rotating) = 100% injury down the line 7 year study with 1000+ Royals and Indians big league/minor league players = 82% injury reduction all based on movement & rotation shoulder or elbow will blow eventually due to over stress...there has to be some forward movement of the legs during rotation, why do you think so many pros and college kids are getting hurt now throwing like this ???
Dude when I go to throw a bullpen the coaches don’t use a radar gun but they say I am throwing between 78-82 range. I threw 2 pitches without worming up yesterday and my arm was sore before I even threw. I only hit 64. But if I do worm up and give it my 100 percent I will probably be in the 78-82 range but my arm is always killing me so I need to rest it all of the time. I am 15 right now.
Jim Parque is a true gem, his teaching skills are off the chart, My son is 4, too bad I don't live close enough to home in on those skills that Jim has been teaching to other students in the game.
Start tall 👍🏽 Power Tee Try to open stride foot protect the knee! Stay closed longer gather … so much good stuff. I have 2 young ball players that will benefit! Thanks⚾️
This helps me learn about pitching techniques
He really likes to hear himself talk
Bros pitching in Kobe’s
What team does he coach for in the NCAA?
Pacific Lutheran U
incredible cinematography
This is the most useful pitching video I have ever seen
Going to put this tool into use with our son. He is 15, throws sidearm and consistently hit 75-79 mph. Will see if this will help him break 80mph by summer.
Joker
Too complicated to comprehend for any teen
I didn't see 85mph. I seen 81 or maybe 82
First.
Thank you the feet made me a lot better how are you do it is a lot better than mine
Aren't you hooking that curveball a bit?
These are great drills and information. Steve Terry, Peterborough
This is outstanding information with great explanations. I would encourage all hitting coaches and players, to study this material. Steve Terry, Peterborough and former Canadian National Baseball Team Coach.
would it be better if the front foot point just a little bit to the target so it would be easier to fully rotate your hips?
DID NOT SEE CONTACT INFO?????????
Anyone who has any experience pitching knows that kid is throwing low 50’s max.
This guy has a lot of junk in the truck. Not that I'm into that.

The instruction here and swings..kinda rambling. Not clear points being made but instead kinda all over the place..like random thoughts pop into his head and then mentioned. Look to be more clear and concise. This shouldn’t be a 14 min video.
I found the “rambling” useful… as a beginner.
I can throw 90 easily at 80 feet so does that mean I can pitch or is the pitchers mound 90 ft or so
The speed, length or path of the arm circle makes no difference - the important part is to have to the scaps fully locked and connected right at the exact moment of heel strike so the rotational explosion can immediately occur with no loss of energy and the arm comes through with no obtuse elbow.
its all about applying the force needed for speed at the right time, not wasting it when you start the swing through but directly at contact...imo
I also believe you need to get that front leg posted to create a moment of inertia
Man I remember Jim's debut in 1998 in Yankee stadium. What a great game. I was a big fan of Jim
