    this is terrible information. This will injure many people trying to follow this half-assed depiction of pitching. Your hips should rotate roughly 50 to70% a split second before your front foot strikes the ground. As you create this hip rotation your arm should be getting ready to get to cocked position, but you should actually be starting to slightly counter-rotate the shoulders in the opposite direction of hip rotation. This is what 'separation' is. This dude is correct about head position, but that's about it.

    this video doesn't teach anything other than what somebody sounds like when they want you to believe their BS. I imagine most people would be very confused about what the hell this dude is actually saying. Also there are so many pros that actually use their head position to initiate the drift from leg lift, which essentially moves the torso and hips together down the mound, but eventually the hips and lower half take over and rotate open before front footstrike.

    What comes first the push or the clearing of the front hip? Maybe the push should come after the firing of the hands too soon a push could maybe lead to a loss of posture

    You dont create launch angle with your hands and shoulders. Launch angle happens aftet the ball is hit. This guy is teaching all wrong. That top hand should not roll over either.

    no finish/follow through with body (meaning lower half recoils back while torso keeps rotating) = 100% injury down the line 7 year study with 1000+ Royals and Indians big league/minor league players = 82% injury reduction all based on movement & rotation shoulder or elbow will blow eventually due to over stress...there has to be some forward movement of the legs during rotation, why do you think so many pros and college kids are getting hurt now throwing like this ???

    Dude when I go to throw a bullpen the coaches don’t use a radar gun but they say I am throwing between 78-82 range. I threw 2 pitches without worming up yesterday and my arm was sore before I even threw. I only hit 64. But if I do worm up and give it my 100 percent I will probably be in the 78-82 range but my arm is always killing me so I need to rest it all of the time. I am 15 right now.

    The instruction here and swings..kinda rambling. Not clear points being made but instead kinda all over the place..like random thoughts pop into his head and then mentioned. Look to be more clear and concise. This shouldn’t be a 14 min video.

    The speed, length or path of the arm circle makes no difference - the important part is to have to the scaps fully locked and connected right at the exact moment of heel strike so the rotational explosion can immediately occur with no loss of energy and the arm comes through with no obtuse elbow.

  • @oldben1800
    @oldben1800 2 роки тому

    its all about applying the force needed for speed at the right time, not wasting it when you start the swing through but directly at contact...imo
